The character's international popularity began already in 1920. Then many musical groups dedicated their compositions to the black and white cartoon character. It is noteworthy that not all groups sought permission from the copyright owner to use the animal’s name in the lyrics.

In 1927, spectators saw a huge inflatable figure of Felix at the Thanksgiving holiday. This event marked a tradition: balloons subsequently became an integral part of parades.

The traits of an anthropomorphic animal were often used in the development of other characters. Thus, it is suggested that the famous Sonic the Hedgehog was created on its basis. The purely visual similarity in the structure of the head is difficult to dispute.
