Whiskas wet cat food - reviews

In specialized stores Whiskas for kittens is available in a large assortment. A variety of bright food packages are replete with beautiful inscriptions about the exceptional benefits of the finished product. How to choose the right food for a small pet is a question that should be given close attention. A skillful owner always strives to feed his pet food that contains only natural ingredients.

How to choose the right food for a small pet is a question that should be given close attention

Kittens of different breeds have their own individual characteristics, so you need to be well versed in the beneficial properties and disadvantages of any food. Some consumers believe that dry food supplements should not be given to a kitten. The baby's stomach mucosa is very delicate. The later the animal starts eating dry food, the better. It should be remembered that large portions irritate the walls of the esophagus. And although the kitten produces the necessary enzymes during feeding, sometimes they are not enough to digest food.

What are the benefits of complementary feeding?

Owners concerned about maintaining the health of their pets give preference to expensive food. Nevertheless, there are people who constantly give their kittens Whiskas. However, you should not think that the food is of poor quality.

Kittens like to eat canned meat, but they should not be consumed for a long time or in large quantities. Veterinarians say that good nutrition is designed to ensure the growth and development of the pet.

Kittens under the age of 12 months prefer the delicious “Stew with chicken, turkey and vegetables.” Of course, a canned product will not improve your pet’s health, but it is a budget option and is also necessary if the baby is left without a mother or there is no way to provide him with other food. Many kittens eat dry food with great pleasure. Before buying Whiskas, you should know exactly what ingredients are included in its composition and whether they are safe for the health of the animal.

If your pet is often sick or exhausted, you should not give him dry food. The main components included in the liquid product differ from nutritional supplements for adult animals. However, the food contains meat, vitamins, and taurine.

Composition of whiskey using wet food as an example

Meat and offal (including beef at least 16%, liver at least 10%), taurine, vitamins, minerals. Value (100g): proteins - 8.0g; fats - 4.0g; ash - 1.8g; fiber - 0.3g; vitamin A - at least 150 IU; vitamin E - at least 0.8 mg. Energy value (100g): 70 kcal / 293 kJ.

As can be seen from the composition of the 2021 line of food, it does not include grains, and in large letters there is an inscription that the food does not contain: soy, flavorings, taste enhancers.

Feed composition

The basis of Whiskas is by-products, cereals, vegetable and animal oils. Many owners of small pets consider the food to be balanced in composition. Fiber and microelements are well absorbed by the kitten’s body.

B vitamins strengthen the nervous system. Phosphorus improves memory, ascorbic acid stimulates the immune system. Customer reviews of Whiskas for kittens aged 1 to 12 months contain information that feeding the pet should be done slowly, and a new type of food should improve its health.

Beta-carotene and folic acid benefit the body, help eliminate toxic substances, and give the kitten additional energy and strength. However, some owners pay attention to the presence of special substances in the feed. Attractants do not bring any benefit to the animal's body. They irritate the gastric mucosa and cause rapid addiction to the food. It should be remembered that the special diet includes omega-3 fatty acids to ensure the kitten’s well-being. However, owners do not always switch their pets to a balanced diet, although it contains the necessary nutrients in the right quantities.

Kittens of different breeds have their own individual characteristics, so you need to be well versed in the beneficial properties and disadvantages of any food.

Whiskas wet cat food - reviews

Advantages:

No pros

Flaws:

Shortens the life of cats.

I do not advise anyone to feed their pets this food! If you want your cat to live a long time and not get sick, then avoid using this food. May cause urolithiasis, liver and kidney damage. On average, cats live 12-15 years, rarely live to 20-25, but if a cat consumes Whiskas, life is reduced to 8-10 years, and even less. I know from my own bitter experience. And there’s a lot of things they don’t let into this food, a very strong spicy smell, as if they put a bunch of chemicals in there. Yes, and it is addictive in cats; my cat, for example, simply did not want to eat anything else except Whiskas. I don’t feed my pet Whiskas anymore.

Advantages:

Cats like it

Flaws:

Has a strange effect on the animal, causing abnormal activity

I gave this cat food to my “master” infrequently - only when there was no other food... and there were reasons for this. As soon as he ate this “whisky”, the cat immediately became “mad”, uncontrollable: he began to jump, meow and climb everywhere, and even tried to bite (although he is usually very calm). I don’t know what they add there, but clearly there is something there to keep the “cat in great shape.” In general, this product seemed very dubious to me!

Advantages:

There is none of them!

Flaws:

By feeding this rubbish, you are ruining your pets!

My husband and I decided to get a kitten. We took him in when he was very young, he was about 2 months old at the time. They fed only milk! When the cat grew up, he began to eat everything: fish, meat, and much more. When my husband and I came to the grocery store once again, we came across a display case with cat food and decided to take a couple of bags of liquid food and a box of dry food. We wanted to pamper the cat, because we heard from many that they feed their pets Whiskas and they love it so much. We couldn't even imagine where this would lead us. We fed all this food, the cat was of course happy, he really liked the treat. A day has passed, and we cannot understand anything, why our pet does not eat anything, all his food, which he ate constantly, is not even touched. I already thought that he was sick. He will approach the bowl, sniff, meow and leave. The next day everything is the same. I called a friend, she has already 3 cats, I thought maybe she would give some advice. Her words, of course, surprised me very much, but still. She said to give him another bag of food and see if he will eat. There was nothing else to do, I decided to try. My husband bought a bag, I gave it to him and couldn’t believe my eyes, he ate everything, and so quickly that I was simply horrified. Since then, our pet has been eating only Whiskas cat food, and he doesn’t eat food from other companies either, only this one.

On this diet, the cat began to grow and gain weight very quickly. Now he is 4 years old, he is so fat that he is already rolling from side to side. It is very difficult for him with such weight. Vomiting began to appear from time to time, all this food came out, after this he didn’t eat anything for the whole day, but just lay there so sad, he didn’t even get up. I tried to wean him off Whiskas. It’s all useless! He didn’t eat anything for three days that I didn’t give him, it was all in vain. He waited until they gave him this poison again, there’s no other way to call it.

Whiskas Cat Food contains so much crap that when you read the ingredients, you begin to wonder what kind of ingredients they are and whether it’s even edible. It’s just a pity that we are starting to think about this very late. It seems to me that everything is there except meat and vitamins.

I once consulted with a doctor, after everything he told me, I was simply horrified. This is truly a poison that manifests its properties gradually and little by little. There are some substances added to the food that cause this very addiction; cats and kittens are simply dependent on it, like a drug addict on a dose. When it is consumed, the entire body of the animal is destroyed, slowly, imperceptibly. If you fail to wean the cat from its habit, then its lifespan will clearly be more than half as long as it should be.

Of course, I was very upset, the doctor’s words really scared me, I came home and told my husband everything. They started trying, giving meat mixed with food, and each time the portion of food decreased. We struggled with this for more than a month, but in the end, everything worked out. We don’t buy cat food anymore, everything is back to normal. The cat now arrives in excellent shape, eats only natural products and no chemicals.

Hi all.

I recently read a story here about how dry food can kill an animal, not right away, but over the years, quietly corroding from the inside... And it’s all because of cheap dry food.

I admit, I also buy food - I have dry Brit Care - I really liked this brand in liquid form. But I give 5 pads a day... as a treat and encouragement.

And also, I buy wet pouch food, like Whiskas, but I give it to her once a month - one pack, if I haven’t had time to prepare her porridge.

I want to pamper my cat with something unusual, and Whiskas packages are filled with delicious ingredients - rabbit, turkey, game...

This time I bought Whiskas - spider jelly with rabbit and vegetables.

A little digression - I try everything that I give to my cat... well, excuse me... just a pea-sized piece of whiskey. I won’t die, but I will also know what I feed my animal.

Allegedly, mostly meat and offal, and supposedly even rabbit is present.

I don’t believe at all that there is good meat here, and indeed whether there is any here at all, especially rabbit.

The maximum here is meat products that are unsuitable for humans or expired, or fresh offal, all sorts of things - wings, paws, tails))

In appearance, these are small pads of compressed unknown substance in a cloudy jelly... there are inclusions of carrots and this is probably the most natural thing in this food).

Whiskas smells like ordinary meat stew...

The pads are brown in color - they taste fresh and not tasty... with grains of sand, as if a whole chicken was ground here with feathers and legs with sand on which it wandered). There are no pieces of meat visible.

However, the cat simply goes crazy when he hears the rustling of the bag.

Moreover, if she hasn’t eaten the whole empty packet, then she won’t come near him anymore... The food almost instantly stales, and a day later it turns into stinking crackers.

I don’t recommend Whiskas wet food... especially for every day... it’s like store-bought dumplings - a snack when you have absolutely nothing to eat))

And the best food that I have seen is Brit Care - namely Kare, because Brit Premium in bags is the same Whiskas. And the series of racks are real pieces of meat or fish. I generally respect products where it is clear what they are made from).

There is one, you most likely know about it exclusively from chocolates. This company produces the following feeds: Whiskas, Kiteket, Pedigree, Chappie. This is the most popular animal food among ordinary people. The population judges them solely by television advertising. In more professional areas, opinion was developed quite a long time ago, and a completely definite one was developed. There are the most terrible, most poisonous foods for animals - Whiskas and Kiteket for cats, these are economy class food, although in terms of price I would classify Whiskas as premium, but in terms of quality they are not even economy.

The main diseases from Whiskas: terrible dermatitis: rashes, hair loss, inflammation of the anal glands, scratching over a huge area, suppuration, etc.; gastrointestinal disorders: diarrhea, constipation, colitis, enteritis, gastritis, etc.; various allergies; renal failure; pancreatitis; terrible liver diseases.

Think about it! First, we want to pamper the cat with something tasty or simply save money and time on feeding the pet, and then we spend a lot of money on clinics, on veterinarians who cannot figure out what happened to the animal, on all these tests... But how in Is this the time when an animal suffers?! and from our own care...

My cat, like probably many others, began to be capricious when it came to food and the only thing she ate with pleasure was whiskey. Then I didn’t yet know what it was. The cat was thin and hungry all the time. She did not recognize any other food. Soon she began to go to the toilet with difficulty, screaming, and bleeding. Doctors could not make a diagnosis, but everything was obvious - not proper nutrition. The cat died...

Feeding your cat these foods is about the same as switching exclusively to hamburgers, chips and cola.

ATTENTION! Very great review. Just a cry from the heart!! ))

I got my cat when I was 9 years old. I don't even remember myself without him. I adore him like crazy. And now I am very ashamed that I, a stupid little one, trusted my parents in matters of feeding the cat and did not pay attention to the warning signs (It’s a pity that at that time there was no Internet and the necessary information…..).

At first he ate everything! Then Whiskas appeared on sale and everyone decided that it was much easier than straight. As a result, after 2-3 feedings of this food, the cat refused to eat anything else. The cat got hooked (like a drug addict, really). As soon as he saw the purple packaging, he heard its rustling immediately with wild eyes, a tail like a pipe and a long, loud MEOW! I always thought that he loves him sincerely and this is the best food for him, because cats won’t eat crap. At first he ate dry food, then when he began to get old he gave it up, apparently the strain on his teeth became too much for him, so he switched to canned food. And so on for 15 years. Of course, from time to time we gave him fish, milk, and fresh meat. But the basis of nutrition is Whiskas. He ate 3-4 sachets (350g) a day and weighed only 3 kilos. We were glad that he had a good appetite. Yes, and on the packaging it was written that this is the norm. The cat vomited almost every 14 days. I thought that this was cleansing the stomach of his fur (which he swallows when washing). But sometimes it was just liquid. Sometimes immediately after eating everything would come back. Sometimes there really was fur. I didn't pay much attention to it.

The problems began when he was 16 years old. He suddenly stopped eating Whiskas... Completely. After 2 days, he didn’t want any other food, even his most delicious treats like yogurt. I lost a lot of weight. I slept all the time and stopped playing. The face was sad. I immediately sounded the alarm and rushed to the vet.

And surprises awaited me there.

Firstly. Ultrasound and biochemistry showed that all organs are normal (of course, according to age), only the kidneys are reduced, but they work normally. Isn't this a miracle!!

Secondly, some kind of neoplasm, 3 by 3 cm, appeared inside him. Tests showed that it should not be cancer, but how this thing will behave in the future is not clear. We'll keep an eye on it. Whether this is because of Whiskas or not, I don’t know. But the fact remains a fact.

Thirdly, very irritable intestines. The cat was clearly in pain. He constantly sat with his belly on the cold floor and hardly slept.

After my cats were thoroughly abused at the veterinary hospital and sent home to receive further treatment, I read a huge amount of information about feeding cats and about Whiskas as well. The horror that gripped me is impossible to describe. HOW???! How could my cat live for so many years on this rubbish???!! I didn’t even think that such a G could be allowed for production and sale! Cats are simply zombified with this food, adding something to it that makes them think it’s tasty. Although the composition is simply disgusting!

I encourage everyone who cares about your pet! Think about what you feed him! Don't repeat my mistakes. If you already have a pet, do not spare money on good food. Read on the Internet what and how to feed cats correctly. Don’t let them eat things that are harmful to them (the list of foods is huge! Human food is NOT allowed from the table!). And always repeat to yourself - “20 years, 20 years”! After all, this is how long a cat can live with proper care and feeding. and delight with your presence in your life.

Now my cat is sleeping. This is the 5th day of treatment. There is a slight improvement. I drink it with chamomile decoction, kefir, chicken broth, and give him baby meat puree. I don't know what will happen next and whether he will survive. If so, then I will only buy good, expensive food for him. I am very sorry that I found out so late about WHAT I was feeding my cat. I blame myself, but I hope that in the 5 years that we have left I will be able to rehabilitate myself and please him with really tasty and healthy food)

If only he could survive...

How I got to Whiskas (and a little about my cat’s diet):

Our first trip to the vet happened the day after I took the animal home. Having given the necessary vaccinations, the veterinarian gave recommendations regarding feeding. It was Pro Plan Delicate food. The doctor warned against buying Whiskas, Kitiket, etc., but noted that wet food of these brands can be given. Then, and this was almost six years ago, I became interested - why not? After all, there are so many advertisements, happy and funny cats constantly appear on TV, and most importantly - inexpensive. Being an amateur in this matter, I was sure that all the cats in the world eat Whiskas. I surfed the Internet and found a lot of negative information. But I remembered that wet food is possible.

In principle, Pro Plan is completely suitable for the cat, plus from time to time I feed him beef or chicken fillet. For six years, I sometimes bought him wet Whiskey. Not often, but once a month for sure. Usually the cat licked all the liquid, but did not eat the pieces. I considered it a waste of money, because half of the “yummy” food had to be thrown into the trash.

Somehow I came across a new product - Meat Pate. And I took one pack to try. The cat dealt with the contents quickly. And I liked his happy face and empty bowl. "Here it is!!! — I thought — Bingo!!! We need to take more!! ". And I already brought home 10 packs of pate. She “treated” him in the morning, and at subsequent meals she gave him Pro Plan.

After a short time, the cat began to refuse meat and dry food. He threw tantrums at me near the shelf where the Pate stood. He lay in wait for me there, rubbing himself against my legs, screaming heart-rendingly: “Yessss!!! ". And I didn't eat anything else. What was happening really alarmed me, I started reading reviews and looking at forums. And my hair stood on end. It turned out that under the guise of “complete” food in a purple package with a cute cat’s face - real waste (feathers, horns, hooves, chicken paws, bone meal), flavor enhancers and only 4% meat. The pate smells so bad it makes my mouth full of drool, I could just spread it on bread. Of course, food without enhancers cannot smell like that... How I reproached myself and still reproach myself for my irresponsibility and ignorance.

My actions further: the remaining Pate was photographed and thrown into the trash. The first three days were hard. My intelligent pet behaved hysterically, hovered around the place of pate deposits, shouted “Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee with so brazenly, I couldn’t even believe that it was my cat. Occasionally he would approach the bowl of Pro Plan and leave. My heart was bleeding. About the fourth day the cat began to eat again. At first little by little, then I pushed myself as before. He also began to show interest in meat.

Conclusion: in general, this seemingly nightmare situation served as the impetus for a total educational program regarding the animal’s nutrition. It turned out that the vaunted Pro Plan is not so good. Our city is small, there are only two veterinary clinics, and the would-be specialists cannot really advise anything. It’s good that there are similar sites where animal owners exchange opinions, give recommendations, and share experiences. Thank you all so much for this!!!!

I learned a lot about holistic foods and have already bought one to try. I’m gradually introducing it into the cat’s diet. So far so good and I hope it stays that way.

Whiskas: expert opinion

Feedback from veterinarians confirms the fact that more stringent requirements must be placed on food for babies than on the diet of adult animals. Experts say that homemade food is not always healthy. There is no guarantee that homemade food is suitable for feeding a kitten. And the production of special-purpose products is under control at all stages: from the quality of raw materials to the sterility of packaging.

However, veterinarians note the fact that feeding a kitten with Whiskas can negatively affect its health. An animal becomes overweight if it is overfed or restricted in movement. Often the doctor insists on the need to carefully monitor the well-being of a small pet. If he experiences discomfort, you should consult a veterinarian.

Modern food additives for animals meet quality and safety standards. It must be remembered that only a veterinarian can choose the right food, taking into account the needs of the pet. Dry food is very useful for a kitten, because it does not spoil during the day and allows you to satisfy the need for proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

Chicken stew: not so simple

The owners do not immediately realize what kind of nutrition their pet needs. Often they refuse to feed the kitten special food. And this is a big mistake. All microelements are balanced in chicken stew. Liquid food is a good choice. As a rule, it allows the pet to remain full for a long time.

Food additives used in the production of feed are not the most dangerous. Consumer reviews indicate that a kitten needs 2-3 packets of Whiskas per day. Recently, the demand for an inexpensive product has increased sharply.

The owners are satisfied with the quality of the wet food, but sometimes alternate it with other types of food. The contents of the bag look appetizing and have a specific smell. If you decide to feed your kitten Whiskas, you need to read the information on the package. You should pay special attention to the date of manufacture of the product so as not to harm the health of your pet.

However, some kittens do not tolerate feeding Whiskas well. The animal's general condition worsens and loose, bloody stools appear. In this case, you must urgently seek help from a veterinarian.

Review of Whiskas food for kittens

Many owners of adult mustachioed tabbies, although they deal with ready-made food, have very different opinions on whether a kitten can have Whiskas.

Some argue that it is best to give babies only natural food, while others say that Whiskas for kittens (dry and wet) has a balanced food composition and is optimal for the smallest.

Even such little ones can be given pate, jelly or Whiskas stew

First of all, it is worth noting that food can be dry or wet.

Whiskas dry food for kittens has the following advantages:

  • reducing the risk of tartar formation, the development of periodontal disease, maintaining the condition of teeth;
  • contains the optimal amount of fiber, which is necessary for the normal functioning of the digestive system;
  • does not spoil longer than wet food.

In the morning - stew, in the afternoon - pillows, in the evening tender pate... With such a diet it’s a sin to complain

Whiskas wet food for kittens has positive aspects:

  • minimizes the risk of overeating;
  • the water balance in the animal’s body is normalized;
  • reduces the risk of urinary system diseases;
  • Suitable from 1 month of life and ensures the smoothest possible transition from breast milk to solid food.

The entire Whiskas line includes 7 products:

  • chicken pate;
  • jelly with veal or turkey;
  • stew with salmon, lamb or chicken;
  • Whiskas for kittens dry food: pads with turkey and carrots.

Chicken pate can be added as complementary foods from the 5th week.

It combines the optimal amount of nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

In addition to vitamin E, which supports the body’s protective functions, the food also contains calcium, beneficial acids (omega-6), zinc, vitamin A, and taurine.

Its main advantage is its ease of absorption.

Veal or turkey jelly consists of small pieces of meat in jelly. Like pate, it can be added to the diet starting from 1 month of life.

With such a variety you can twist your nose

The stew series has three varieties:

  • chicken;
  • salmon;
  • lamb.

Instead of jelly, the pieces of meat are seasoned with sauce.

Hard pads for babies from 2 months of age

If wet types of food are intended for feeding kittens from the first month, then dry food is recommended from at least two months of life.

What canned foods in jars are not suitable for feeding kittens?

Consumer reviews are largely contradictory. Some animals experience severe liver, kidney and stomach damage after eating canned food. Veterinarians claim that half of their clients are kittens that have been fed Whiskas in any form. The canned product has one disadvantage - the animal begins to refuse natural products. Owners often ask for help because they want their pet to receive adequate nutrition. In this case, veterinarians ask all Whiskas consumers to take into account the fact that serious problems may arise in the kitten during feeding.

The desire to raise a healthy pet requires the ability to adjust its diet. The owners believe that canned food contains chemicals that cause addiction to a certain type of food. However, there is good news: kittens living in unfavorable conditions, on the street, in the basement, eat liquid or dry food well. As a result, they are fed, but may suffer from concomitant diseases caused by the presence of dangerous substances and flavors in the product.

What complications occur in pets?

For a novice gourmet, danger may lie in the very first pack of liquid food. A few days after consuming it, the kitten becomes lethargic, a strong unpleasant odor appears from the mouth, and the eyes water. Ulcers form on the surface of the tongue. After some time, symptoms of acute poisoning appear.

Undesirable components in the food lead to hair loss in your pet. The low calorie content of a single serving does not ensure the normal functioning of the animal’s body. If a kitten is fed dry food for several months, it becomes agitated and has unstable stools. Owners of adult animals note that their pets develop urolithiasis. They associate her appearance with feeding Whiskas.

You should not give canned food to animals that have had a viral infection, as the risk of complications increases.

Whiskas is an economy class food and this is exactly what you need to know about it. The food contains a small amount of meat, and its absence is compensated by specially prepared vegetable proteins and carbohydrates, which, if portion sizes and diet are not followed, can cause a number of diseases. It’s also not worth demonizing food. The Whiskas brand belongs to a corporation with huge capacities and a rich history of producing animal feed. All Whiskas food products are tested and tested for toxicity and only after their safety is confirmed are they put on the shelf. However, it is better to opt for higher quality feeds, such as Arden Grange or Perfect Fit.

Whatever food you choose, follow the storage rules for dry and wet food.

Nutrition reviews

Nikolay: “There is no guarantee that the kitten will not get sick after drinking Whiskas. My pet ate dry food, and now he often sits near the bowl and meows pitifully until he eats the entire portion. Lately he has been feeling nauseous after eating. The veterinarian suggested changing the food.”

Elena: “I recently started giving the kitten Whiskas. Now he refuses his usual food, gets excited, throws himself at his feet, and foam appears at the mouth. I think that the food is not suitable for small pets with sensitive digestion. The general impression is negative."

Dmitry: “There are kittens living in the house. They love Whiskas very much. It is inexpensive and brings pleasure to pets. The kids feel great, there is a mischievous sparkle in their eyes. I assure you that animals are not at risk of overeating. Whiskas stimulates the digestive system, increases physical activity, and prevents the development of diseases.”

Specially balanced food contains natural ingredients, but only the owner can make the only right decision: to give Whiskas to his pet or not.

Whiskas dry cat food - reviews

Olga

I’ve always read bad reviews about Whiskas. But my cat switched to dry food on her own, eating the dog’s food. We decided to give her cat food, first Kitiket, then switched to Whiskas. Probably they really add something there, because over the years she stopped even eating fish. But she lived for almost 18 years, for the last couple of years she was diagnosed with urolithiasis. I tried to give her medicinal food, it was expensive

Cutie

My cat is already 15 years old. Believe it or not, she has been eating Whiskas food all these years. Of course, in addition to dry food, she also receives homemade natural food and catches mice. In general, until recently I led an active life position.

We buy whiskey in different flavors - our cat likes all the options. He eats very well and has never had any digestive problems. Now, due to her age, the cat’s fur is less pleasant to the touch, but overall her health is not bad.

Jelly beans of any kind are not acceptable, including those from Whiskas. There was an unpleasant incident: I bought a spider bag, opened it, and there was mold inside. Either the temperature conditions during storage were not observed, or there was some kind of manufacturing error. This case is isolated, but the fact remains a fact.

In general, I can’t say anything bad about this brand. I understand that this is economy class, but even despite the not very good composition, this did not prevent the cat from leading a healthy, real life of a predator.

If you are going to buy Whiskas, then additionally provide your cat with a sufficient amount of fresh food (fish, meat, chicken and their processed products), and also do not forget to leave a bowl of drinking water.

My cat is an omnivore. She eats everything I offer her. And I offer a wide variety of dishes - natural food from our table, fish, spiders, dry food, including Whiskas. The food is inexpensive and quite normal. Kitty eats it quickly, with appetite. The animal did not have any adverse reactions to the food. The gastrointestinal tract works like a clock. The cat looks healthy and has a playful character.

I like that the food is not too smelly. It’s also good that all the granules are the same color, which means that there are no dyes in them. I haven’t studied the composition in depth, but I know for sure that the pads consist of 80% meat flour and cereals.

Overall, good food for cats. I buy packs of 400 g and pouches of 90 g. There were no complaints)))

averg

Advantages:

cats eat it well.

Flaws:

may be harmful if consumed in excess

I started buying this food several years ago. And not only for my indoor cats, but also for the street cats that I feed. The cats like the food, they eat it well, but it is not very healthy for their health and I gradually switched mine to a higher quality food. Although I have never poured as much as they show in the advertisement. Whiskas should not be mixed with regular, natural food. I do not recommend giving it to sterilized cats and especially males. But if it is not possible to purchase expensive food, you need to soak the pads in water, after which

give to the cat. If your cat likes it, give Whiskas in small portions without mixing it with other food.

In general, food is simple and affordable for everyone. Although I read an article somewhere that it is very harmful to animals, supposedly it is made from the animals themselves.

I don’t know whether to believe it or not, but I used to buy dry food for my cat in bags. Then, however, she stopped eating it, and I switched to other foods.

But I buy whiskey to feed cats on the street. I do good deeds)

when I wondered about the health of my cat...

The fact is that in nature, cats are used to getting all their water from their food! and they drink little water itself.

therefore, everything is fine if your pet eats natural food or canned food (I think you noticed that on canned food they write “moisture content is at least 74-83g”)

but if an animal eats dry food, then it does not receive water. All that remains is to drink - but even here the animal, out of habit, consumes little water. - because cats have a decreased sense of thirst. Ideally, he should drink 3 times more water than a serving of dry food. but hardly any cat can cope with this. -they take a couple of sips and leave.

We used to feed our cat dry food until he was 4 years old. but after 5 they decided that it was still harmful.

I still buy him dry food, but it’s only for variety.

First he eats a portion of canned food, and then he can gnaw on about 10 of these crackers. The bowl of dry food is always full and he is not willing to eat it.

BUT:

If we discuss food as such, then it has positive features:

- no soy

-artificial flavors

- taste enhancers.

The snack mixer is not bad. but I feel sorry for those pets who are deprived of at least some meat, and are forced to eat only flour.

as an option for dry food: I give it a weak 4!!

but for harmfulness I reduce it to 3. (and even if it is food for the prevention of urolithiasis, it does nothing! Because the only problem is that the food is DRY!

I would not recommend feeding him dry food, only as a supplement. As a supplement it's really okay.

Advantages:

Hearty food, cats love it

Flaws:

Not natural food, makes animals thirsty

Sometimes, for variety, we buy Whiskas cat food.

Our cat loves it, and why not sometimes pamper her with dry food, because we also take chocolates for children, and we ourselves don’t eat cabbage leaves alone.

Probably, the kitty has already tried all types of food, but her favorite is the pillows with pate.

If you read the ingredients, it’s okay: dried and ground meat, flavored with artificial minerals and vitamins.

The dyes seem to be natural, but of course, cats need fresh meat and fish, and this food is for when there is no meat at home (this happens before payday).

Our cat crunches these pads with pleasure, and after this food she really has a colossal thirst.

It happens that we feed her in the morning and leave, just leave plenty of water, so even by the evening the cat is not hungry.

The manufacturer, of course, advises feeding cats only his own food, and for this purpose he is expanding the range, but that’s why he is a manufacturer, to take care of revenue.

My opinion is that natural food should also be given, a cat is not an astronaut that needs to survive on dry rations for the rest of its life.

It happens that a cat only requires Whiskas, because the manufacturer is interested in getting pets accustomed to the food. But we give on average once a week, as a reward or when there is nothing “catty” in the refrigerator.

General impression:

Helps out when you don’t have time to cook for your pets.
