I’ll say right away that the cat is not a purebred or domestic cat, she lives in the yard, but spends more time near our door) her daughter brought her, rescued her from a tree, she wanted her to live with us, but I’m against it, but I allowed her to be in the yard if she wants, my daughter immediately bought her food with her pocket money, the cat wanted to stay))) now the food is on me, where should I choose dry food? wet eats gourmet. All the same, these brands are not expensive and not the worst.

We feed the cat purina, and sometimes we take it as a liquid treat, I like it because? not so smelly, his fur is good, he doesn’t get sick
Why put a barn cat on food? If the food is not expensive and of poor quality, it does not have all the necessary vitamins and elements for the cat, and the food becomes addictive. And if today one is different tomorrow, such shifts have a bad effect on health. It’s better to feed her from the table, and sometimes buy something wet for a treat. Soups porridge meat is much better for an outdoor cat
and what difference does it make whether it’s a yard one or not, then you can feed your family with soup. I won’t feed the most expensive ones, but I won’t feed the cheapest ones either. Many of their pets feed their purebred dogs purina, mine also eats it well. In my opinion, I wrote that I choose food on a permanent basis, I am not going to change it.
The yard dog is not under such careful supervision; you will, as it were, tie it to you with food (my opinion). So she can catch a mouse and a bird there, or eat at a neighbor’s. And in general, I meant that rather than buying low-quality food on an ongoing basis, it’s better to eat food from the table because... With such food, cats often suffer from all sorts of illnesses and do not live as long as they could. They do not have enough quantity. Everything useful for the cat. And it’s not difficult to get her hooked on him.

My husband and I got a kitten and spent a very long time choosing what to feed it. We wanted a cheap option that would still be useful. And then our friends recommended Purina Wang to us. We bought it at a regular supermarket. To start, we chose a food with whole grains and chicken. The food smelled quite pleasant, the granules were neat and small, easy to bite even for a kitten. Our redhead immediately liked everything. He chews it with pleasure and is active a lot. In my opinion, the food has a good effect on him. We haven't noticed any problems yet. I hope that Purina will continue to delight us and our beloved pet.

Clients often come to me asking for help choosing a diet. If finances allow, I recommend Savarra or other holistic foods. But in most cases, the client needs good and inexpensive options so that they do not break their pockets and are good for their pets. Then I recommend Purina. She's certainly not perfect. There are times when such food is not suitable for a pet. Usually these are individual intolerances, allergies or problems with the gastrointestinal tract. If the pet is healthy, then the food should be suitable. It is quite tasty and healthy, has a good composition and includes vitamins. So if you decide to buy food from the cheap segment, then Purina is perfect for you.

Don't be afraid to spend a little more on premium food, but it will last longer. Economy class food does not contain the necessary nutrients for cats and they cannot get enough of it! And they will constantly ask for more or eat everything in the bowl at once. And there is no saving (Also, if the cat is neutered, then he needs food for neutered, with a lower protein content. Economy does not provide this) I buy mine Hill's at a price of 230 rubles per 400 grams (regular pack). Weighted ones are cheaper and more profitable, we will soon purchase them. The kitten cracks with pleasure, and the choice is still small - three flavors in total for kittens. But it doesn't upset us

Grandorf
Given: a mongrel cat, found near the basement of a store in the cold. Neutered at the age of 7 months, regularly vaccinated and swallows anti-parasite tablets, brushed from time to time. Wool of medium length.
At first they fed him dry Royal Canin, after a couple of months it turned out that this food in Russia was so-so, so they switched to dry Grandorf. Good food, I like it. The cat sometimes gets mischievous and asks for wet food, because when he was little, he was given a little of it while getting used to dry food, but he doesn’t go on a hunger strike. Somehow he knows how to limit himself, goes to the bowl several times a day, does not eat everything, but slowly eats as much as he needs.
So far, no tests have been taken after switching to the new food, but the cat behaves normally, eats well, and does the rest of its cat activities without any problems. The veterinarian at the vaccination said that the cat has very beautiful and soft fur, so I think the food is really high quality.
Cat food "Purina One"
A beloved pet is a family member, the care of which, although it adds problems, but at the same time brings varied and pleasant moments to life. A prudent owner always strives to create the best living conditions for his pet so that he can remain close to him and his family for as long as possible. Proper selection of food is the basis of a healthy life not only for humans, but also for any animal. Pedigree cats or cats with health problems need special care and a demanding diet. You can solve the nutrition issue by using ready-made animal feed, the choice of which is quite large. Among the offered assortment, Purina One food deservedly takes its rightful place and is popular among pet owners.
Who produces food under the Purina brand?
today unites three companies known as manufacturers of pet products: PURINA, Spillers and Friskies. These firms became the founders of the pet food industry. The first dog treats were produced in 1856 by Spiller and Co. Robinson-Danforth (the ancestor of PURINA) began producing the first animal products in 1894. The Carnation Corporation (predecessor of Friskies) opened the Canine Nutrition Research Center in 1920.
The development of these firms has a long history, but the final merger occurred in 1998, resulting in the creation of one of the world's largest pet food companies. Since 2001, it has been called Nestle Purina Pet Care. This company not only produces food, but also actively influences the lives of pets: it sponsors the “Pets for You” charity program to work with homeless animals, it opened the world’s first Dog DNA Distribution Center and created the largest Event Center in which hosts international cat and dog exhibitions.
Acana
The cat eats grain-free Acana food with fish. He eats with pleasure and does not even try to steal anything from human food. At the same time, we are trying to reduce her weight: she is sterilized, weighs 5 kg, and looks very well-fed. We weigh the food on a scale and give 15 g three times a day, which is eaten very quickly. With a recommended serving of 60 g per day, weight does not change.
The veterinarian recommended N&D, but I read the composition and reviews, but Acana still seems more interesting. There is an even cooler Orijen from the same manufacturer, but this is more of a show-off.
Read more about Purina Van food
Taking into account the characteristics of the digestive system of different age groups of animals and the nuances of their maintenance, the company offers the following range of dry food “Purina Van” (wet food is not produced under this brand):
- For kittens. This food contains the following additives:
- DNA (a substance that is part of cat's milk and affects the development of the baby),
- prebiotics (have a positive effect on the gastric microflora),
- yeast (contains vitamins and minerals),
- antioxidants (increases immunity).
- For pets over one year old. Consumption of this food reduces the formation of tartar, it contains:
- vitamin D (helps strengthen the skeletal system),
- Omega-6 fatty acids and zinc (beneficial to the animal’s coat and skin),
- prebiotics,
- yeast and antioxidants;
- substances that improve the condition of the urinary system.
- For older cats (over eleven years old). This food differs from the previous one in its increased content of vitamins and minerals, as well as a higher fiber content, which helps improve the functioning of the digestive tract. In addition, it contains easily digestible proteins.
- For sensitive digestion. The food is based on turkey and rice - this food is recommended if your pet is prone to diarrhea.
- For cats that don't go outside. Contains turkey and whole grains.
- For animals after sterilization. This food is made from salmon or beef, the food is lower in calories and contains a higher percentage of protein.
- A food that improves skin health and prevents the formation of hairballs in the gastrointestinal tract. Its composition reduces hair loss, and the increased percentage of fiber helps remove hair from the body.
All packages of Purina Van food have a convenient clasp to prevent product spoilage during storage.
Purina One dry food is the same price as economy class food. If you carefully read its composition, you can see that it is close to the premium class of feed, although in some respects it is still inferior to them.
Feedback from veterinarians and buyers
All proteins are of plant origin. The composition is average, dry food does not have high energy value and nutritional value. It is balanced, but all the necessary components are added in the minimum acceptable quantity. The basis of the feed is cereals, 90% proteins of plant origin. There are no dangerous or addictive ingredients. The food can be used for daily feeding, but only in combination with other high-quality food (preferably canned food) and nutritional supplements. Not all animals react well to Cat Chow. Some experience severe digestive upset and increased gas production. The range is classic, with diets for cats of different ages and with different needs. But if these very special circumstances really exist, then it is advisable to look for other options.

I have two cats and it’s expensive to buy expensive food. I tried to switch to Cat Chow, the pets are not mischievous and eat normally. I paid 900 rubles for two packages. These are Cat Chow Sterilized (for castrated animals) and Cat Chow Urinari. Packages are 1.5 kg. every. The manufacturer says that it contains only natural ingredients. But I never believe what is written and I looked at the composition from beginning to end. I would not classify the product as a premium class. Meat content 14% is very low. But there are plenty of grains - the cat doesn’t need them. They mention oils and fats, but there are no specifics. In general, questions remain regarding the composition. The manufacturer recommends switching to food gradually. Here I completely agree with him. If a cat has a weak gastrointestinal tract, then a sudden transition will have a bad effect on it. Diarrhea and poor health are guaranteed. I introduced the new food little by little, in small portions, until my tailed ones got used to it. Surprisingly, dry food goes well, even with an increased appetite. Sometimes I wonder if there are attractants there, I hope it’s just my imagination. Based on their health, I see that the pets are fine and are active and playful.

It may not be worth giving Cat Chow as a long-term staple food, but I would recommend these foods to those who are experiencing financial difficulties and cannot purchase more expensive cat food. In the range of budget foods, Cat Chows are not the worst; they have a fairly simple composition, so they do not contain many allergens, but the necessary additives are present. Cats usually really like the taste of these foods. Cat Chow is also a good option for a mixed diet; in this case, the food will simply complement the pet’s natural diet, which is difficult to balance. I know some cat lovers who soak food, make cutlets and other culinary “delicacies” from it. If you don’t overfeed cats with this food, then there are no health problems, I even noticed some improvements, my cat began to spit up hair less, otherwise everything remained unchanged.
