Bozita food for cats: description, reviews from veterinarians

There is a large variety of dry and wet food, but we will pay attention to Bozita cat food and learn about its pros and cons, after which we will draw a conclusion about whether it is worth giving food from this brand to your pet.

Bozita cat food belongs to the super-premium class. It is produced in Sweden, where the requirements for cat food are quite high. It is produced in two types: pouches (wet food) and dry. If you look at reviews of Bozita cat food, you will notice that most owners talk about its undeniable advantages, emphasizing the positive and negative aspects.

Types of feed

The Lantmannen DOGGY company produces two types of Bozita food for cats: dry and canned. This brand does not have a line of medicinal food, only everyday food for completely healthy cats.

Quite often, owners praise Bozita canned food for cats (reviews and photos can be found in our article). They are available in two types: meat pieces in jelly or pate. Judging by reviews from owners, cats generally prefer meat pieces, probably because they are more convenient to eat (especially breeds with a short muzzle, for example Persians).

Feed range

Bozita offers a wide range of cat food. This includes sixteen wet food and only seven types of dry food.

Reviews

Anna: “I have two Persian cats; I adopted them as kittens. I sterilized them and started thinking about quality food for them. The pet store offered me Bozita food. The cats fell in love with this food almost immediately. After a while, I noticed that their fur became even thicker and began to shine. My pets have already grown up and still eat Bosita. In addition, it is inexpensive, considering that it belongs to the premium class.”

Elena: “I have a Scottish Straight, a little picky cat. I bought Bozita jelly “pieces of deer in sauce” for him. I thought that I wouldn’t eat, but no, I ate everything right away. I was surprised. I bought a pack weighing 300 g, this is enough for my pet for 2 days. I will continue to experiment; in the store I noticed that there are a lot of types of wet food with different tastes. In general, the cat liked the food and I recommend it.”

Natalya: “We have 3 cats in our family – a British cat and 2 noble cats.” We feed him twice a day: in the morning with dry food and in the evening with wet treats. We buy all feed from Bozita. There have been no problems with cats for a year now! The fur is shiny, the eyes are sparkling, they have become stronger and don’t get sick.”

Compound

When creating this food, Swedish specialists use ingredients that must undergo the strictest government quality control. This ensures that the products do not contain any ingredients that are harmful or dangerous to cats. Owners are pleased that this food contains fresh meat, and not mysterious meat by-products, which are often indicated on packaging of lower quality food.

Bozita food for cats differs from similar formulations from other manufacturers by containing a large amount of animal protein, as well as ballast substances. First of all, it is taurine, vitamin and mineral supplements, which are vital for the health of cats. The company is especially proud of the Macrogard complex, which was developed as a stimulator of the immune system of animals.

Advantages and disadvantages

Among the advantages of Bozita food are:

  • the composition is based on meat and whole fish, not offal;
  • feed ingredients undergo state control;
  • contains fiber and natural proteins;
  • no dyes or other artificial additives;
  • excellent taste;
  • relatively low cost for a premium product;
  • availability (sold in many pet stores);
  • Wet food comes in very convenient packaging that is easy to open and close.

Disadvantages include:

  • the brand does not have a line of therapeutic and prophylactic food;
  • the main sources of carbohydrates are corn and wheat;
  • the antioxidants and preservatives used are not specified.

Important! Corn is a strong allergen. If your pet suffers from allergies, introduce Bozita food into the diet gradually. If there is no reaction, then you can safely give this product.

Flaws

The assortment does not include a medicinal line of food; in case of illness the animal will need to switch to another product. Contains corn flour and rice. These ingredients cause diarrhea in some cats. Many veterinarians believe that Bozita food does not contain enough additives to prevent urolithiasis (UCD), although for everyday food this is not a very serious drawback.

It must be remembered that the ideal food has not yet been created, so the owner’s choice should depend on the characteristics of your pet’s body. A week after introducing a new product, go to the veterinary clinic and get the cat tested. This will allow you to be sure that this food is safe for your pet.

Specifics of Bonsita feed

When choosing these mixtures for their pets, owners should evaluate the benefits of using the Bozita Feline brand and take into account its individual characteristics.

Advantages

The advantages of Doggy AB products include:

  • Only locally grown products are used.
  • The meat included in the feed is exclusively fresh, without prior freezing.
  • The variety of types allows you to choose mixtures and canned food for picky animals with any preferences.
  • Pets eat these foods with pleasure; the taste of the products is high.
  • Special mixtures are produced for various breeds and age groups of cats.
  • Tetra Recart® packaging allows you to tightly close the opened pack of dry or wet food.
  • All Bozite products are certified and have a manufacturer’s guarantee.
  • The optimal price-quality ratio is a relatively inexpensive food for its price segment.

Flaws

The disadvantages of the Bozita brand are significant:

  • There are no lines of therapeutic and preventive feeds. If a cat accustomed to this diet suffers a systemic disease, it will have to switch to products from another manufacturer.
  • The cornmeal, wheat and oats included in the formula cause diarrhea in some animals. This is the cheapest type of plant protein, usually not included in super premium foods.
  • The source of Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids is most often low-quality bone fat.
  • Bozita feed also includes dehydrated and hydrolyzed chicken and pork flour. That is, it contains not only natural meat, but also offal.
  • The food packaging does not indicate which additional substances are used as preservatives and antioxidants.
  • The mixtures contain a low content of additives that prevent the development of urolithiasis. After feeding your cat Bosit products for a week, you should undergo appropriate tests to make sure that your pet is not at risk of developing the disease.

Amino acids and carnitine, also contained in the composition, speed up metabolism and stimulate fat burning.

Diet for sterilized cats promotes fat burning

  1. Dry food Bozita with chicken and moose for cats with sensitive digestion. Also recommended for animals with excess weight and low activity. The food improves the condition of the skin and coat

  1. Bozita dry food with chicken and salmon for large breed cats . Also suitable for long-haired pets (who also require a clipper ). It is distinguished by the relatively large size of the pads. Because of this, it is recommended for cats that quickly absorb the contents of the bowl. Large pads have to be chewed, which slows down the process of eating food and helps cleanse teeth of plaque. Salmon provides your pet with Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, which are important for healthy skin and coat. Chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine added to the composition take care of joints and ligaments.

Diet for large breed cats

The super premium class of feed differs from the previous one in composition and price. The main difference is the reduced concentration of meat - up to 50%.

Hills Ideal Balance

The food is produced with poultry meat: chicken or turkey with vegetables. The manufacturer has provided food for puppies and miniature breed dogs.

Company policy

is pleased to inform customers (on its official website) that it produces exclusively environmentally friendly products for animals. This term refers to certain requirements for packaging of feed and, of course, raw materials. It comes from local farmland and is subject to very strict quality control.

Thus, the manufacturer emphasizes that in Sweden there is a legislative ban on the use of hormones and antibiotics on livestock farms and in agriculture. He also claims that he does not use GMO products.

As for packaging, Bozita canned goods have a distinctive feature - they are all packaged in Tetra Pack from special multi-layer cardboard, such packaging is also a Swedish invention.

On the importer’s website, the brand is positioned as super premium; the Bozita food class, however, is not indicated on the official website. We believe that this is a more correct and honest approach, because feed classes are a marketing phenomenon, and their “appropriation” is not regulated in any way. We wrote more about this in the article “Food classes: myths and reality.”

Bozita cat food - reviews

Review of Bozita cat food, writes Yulia. Hi all. We have a neutered cat, they are a British breed and he is already 6 years old. During this time, I already ate several different foods, and recently I saw Bozita Indoor & Sterilized in the store, the price of a small package of 0.4 kg was 300 rubles, so I took it for testing.

Our cat is a very picky eater, but he liked the new product and ate every last pellet from the bowl. So we switched to this food. I can say that our pet looks great, his fur shines and shimmers in the sun. The only noticeable negative is that the stool has acquired a more pungent odor, but not so much that it is critical.

[ads-2]

Review of Bozita food, writes Maria. We adopted a cat from a shelter, but they didn’t give it to us - it resulted in diarrhea. The forum recommended trying dry food and named several good manufacturers. I don’t remember why Bosita was chosen from them, but the choice turned out to be successful, the problem with diarrhea disappeared. We tried all the flavors that the manufacturer offers, the cat didn’t like it only with fish, but he eats the rest well.

Review of Bozita cat food, writes Irina. We started our journey with Bozita for kittens, when two years ago a small Scottish Fold kitten appeared in the house. Since during the first few days we were fed natural products and we saw that we really liked chicken, we chose food with chicken meat. As a result, we took dry food and meat pieces from one company, namely Bozit.

I remember the kitten didn’t really like the dry food at first, but the wet food – he begged for more. But hunger is not an issue, I quickly got used to dry food and to this day eats it well, only this time it’s a formula for adults. We recommend trying this food!

Which brand of food should I choose?

Wet formulations should be selected based on the composition of the product and the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Well-advertised brands may be inferior to little-known but high-quality products. In addition, well-known brands include advertising costs in the price of food. The food market has long had a rating of leaders known to dog breeders.

When choosing wet food, you need to focus on:

  • feed composition;
  • price category - frankly cheap food cannot be considered high-class;
  • class - it is better to give preference to premium composition and higher;
  • age, breed and weight of your four-legged friend;
  • pet breeds;
  • purpose of the product – everyday, medicinal, gourmet;
  • type of packaging – jar, pouch (bag), lamister (box);
  • Availability – is there enough food available on store shelves?

If the owner buys wet food for the dog, it is worth remembering that it is better to use it in combination with dry granules or natural food. This will help clear plaque, improve digestion and prevent inflammation of the anal glands.

Conclusions about Bozita food

However, do not forget that the Robur line is usually better than the Original line (and therefore more expensive).
