Katty cat food: reviews, composition analysis, price

Katty cat food review

Wet cat food Katty (“Katty”) is produced in Russia (at a plant in the Leningrad region). The official website is https://aller-petfood.com/, however, there is no information on the food of this brand (which is strange, because there is no information on the packaging that the food was produced to order from another company). Katty belongs to economy class.

Also owns All Cats, Real, All Dogs, All Puppies and Tasty food. The same plant also produces Probalance and ProTail feeds, both commissioned by VELKORM.

Katty food composition

Let's look at the composition of Katty wet food using the “beef in sauce” option as an example. You can see it in the photo below. Note that the composition of spiders is practically no different from the composition of food in metal cans.

Photo of the composition indicated on the Katty canned food jar.

The food is based on meat ingredients:

  • meat and meat by-products (it is specified that at least 4% of them are beef);
  • minced chicken;
  • fish and fish by-products.

It seems to be good, but on the other hand, it is not specified how much meat, how much by-products, and most importantly which ones. The percentage of minced chicken and fish is also not indicated.

Additional ingredients are:

  • cereals (it is not specified which ones, and why they are canned at all);
  • animal proteins;
  • vitamin and mineral complex for cats;
  • taurine (essential amino acid for cats).

An interesting ingredient is “proteins of animal origin”: the food contains only 7% protein, and how much of it constitutes this ingredient is not known (maybe half). At the same time, 100 grams of meat contains up to 25 grams of protein, and if the food contained at least 50% meat, then the protein in the analysis should already be more than 12%.

In general, one can only guess about the amount of meat and the quality of meat by-products (especially depending on the price of the feed).

Advantages and disadvantages

The advantages of canned food of this brand can be considered:

  • the basis of the composition is meat ingredients;
  • there is a vitamin and mineral supplement;
  • very low price.

Disadvantages of Katie food:

  • percentages of ingredients are not indicated, by-products are not specified;
  • unspecified cereals present;
  • not very common.

What foods should be excluded from the diet?

Veterinarians emphasize that it is better not to give economy-class cat food to your furry friend. They do not contain animal proteins; low-quality raw materials are used for their production; they contain many preservatives and dyes, which makes these foods unbalanced and even harmful. As a rule, the first positions in their composition are occupied by cereals (which are not very healthy for cats), rather than meat or meat by-products.

With this diet, a cat may develop:

- urolithiasis disease; - disruption of the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract; - hair loss; - colic, vomiting.

Foods with colored granules, the color of which, according to the manufacturer, is obtained from the juice of vegetables (carrots, broccoli, etc.), actually contain high levels of dyes and preservatives. They are harmful to the pet's body.

Cat food Katty - reviews

Considering the cheapness of this wet food, many cat owners offered it to their pets. Therefore, there are plenty of reviews on the Internet, and below we have collected several of the new ones.

Reviews from veterinarians

We did not find direct reliable reviews from veterinarians about Katty food, but it is unlikely that a good doctor would recommend economy-class canned food.

Customer Reviews

In the past I adopted a stray cat, she has no problems with appetite. Most of all he loves straight food, boiled chicken, and fish. But I also always buy ready-made food, in case I don’t have time to cook. I take different brands, dry and wet, and Katty was among them.

The food is very cheap, at Pyaterochka it costs only 10 rubles per bag. The composition is no worse than other foods with a price of up to 20 rubles: meat and by-products of at least 4%, minced chicken, fish and fish by-products, cereals, animal proteins, vitamin-mineral complex, taurine.

The cat ate it with pleasure, and the stool was normal afterwards. But Felix and Whiskas caused diarrhea. Katty is certainly not an ideal food, but it doesn’t break the bank. I'm sure you can feed them from time to time.

“Lady Kiso” writes:

When he runs out of both food and money, he has to buy cheap food for a couple of days. In such cases, Katty spiders come to the rescue, a 100 g package of which costs 12 rubles. It can only be cheaper for nothing
